David Lester Barfield

David Lester Barfield, 54, of Cheriton, formerly of Colonial Heights, VA, passed at his residence Sunday, September 6, 2009. A native of Colonial Heights, he is the son of James Roger Barfield, Jr. of Colonial Heights and the late Josephine Tuma Barfield. Mr. Barfield was retired from Philip Morris USA. Other than his father, survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Carol Fontaine and her husband Stephen of Colonial Heights, a son, Jonathan David Barfield of Harrisonburg, VA, 3 brothers, Keith Barfield of Colonial Heights, Ralph Barfield of Palmyra, VA and James Barfield, III of FL, a grandson, Gavin Fontaine of Colonial Heights. Mr. Barfield was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Barfield. A memorial service will be held from the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834 at a later date.
