Darian Patrick Laderberg, 72, of Severna Park, MD, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019, after a painful 8 year courageous battle with cancer. A native of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Toy Patrick and the late Beverly Glenn Patrick.
She absolutely loved her job as a registered nurse at Norfolk General Hospital for over 20 years. Even after she retired to spend more time with her family, she was always willing to help anyone with their medical needs.
Being such a caring and kind person, Darian especially loved all animals, children, and most of all her family. She would worry about a sick dog, a child with a skinned knee, or a family member who simply had a cold, before her own needs.
In addition to nursing and her family, she enjoyed horseback riding, boating, sailing, swimming, tennis, and gardening. Not to mention a night on the town with her husband and friends, enjoying a nice meal and a show.
Darian loved to travel. She was fortunate enough to have visited Switzerland, Tahiti, the Bahamas and most of the Caribbean islands, Montreal, California, and many other exciting and rewarding locations.
Mrs. Laderberg is survived by her husband, Brian Laderberg of Severna Park, MD, her son, Andrew Laderberg of Atlanta, GA, and her daughter, Heidi Laderberg of Virginia Beach, VA.
She also leaves behind two sisters, Deliece Patrick Ayers and her husband, Walt, of Virginia Beach, VA, and Carissa Patrick and her companion, Jack Flanagan, of Virginia Beach, VA, and a multitude of friends.
A graveside service was conducted at Belle Haven Cemetery on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at 1:00 PM.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Ave, Annapolis,MD 21403.
