Daniel Parkerson

Daniel H. Parkerson, Sr., 70, husband of Sandra Ross Parkerson and a resident of Cape Charles, VA, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA. A native of Belle Haven, VA, he was the son of the late George Lynwood Parkerson, Jr. and the late June Hopkins Parkerson. He was a maintenance worker for C&E Farms, a waterman, member of Hollies Baptist Church, liked to fish and play golf on Play Station 4, loved camping and hunting, and enjoyed playing jokes on people.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by six children, Teena Marie Odom, Tammy Kay Sanker and her companion, Robert Barker, Jr., Daniel Hopkins Parkerson, Jr. and his fiancé, Sabrina, Daniel Austin Parkerson, and Hannah Nicole Parkerson; a sister, Donna Booth; ten grandchildren, Richard Thomas Peters, Jr., Brandon Ray Odom, Casey Lynwood Allen Odom, Gracie Lou Odom, Nathaniel Alexander Parkerson, Derrick Thomas Parkerson, Courtney Elizabeth Parkerson, Megan Lenay Passarelli, Tiffany Lynn Peters, and Mia Kara Auglair; and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Dean Parkerson.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses to Doughty Funeral Home Post Office Box 633 Exmore, VA 23350.
