Dana Latimer VanDyke, 68, wife of Danhof F. VanDyke and a resident of Eastville, VA, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 at M.C.V. Hospital in Richmond, VA. A native of Norfolk, VA, she was the daughter of the late James Wise Latimer and the late Constance Buckingham Latimer. She was a retired medical transcriptionist for N.D.C. Medical Center, member of Christ Episcopal Church, Past Regent for Daughters of the American Revolution for Northampton County and an avid bridge player with the Monthly Bridge Club.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by three children, Jonathan F. McIvor of Virginia Beach, VA, Brandon F. McIvor and his wife, Gina, of Virginia Beach, Katherine M. Wyndham and her husband, William, of Norfolk; two brothers, James Burleigh Latimer, II and his wife, Joanne, of Kiptopeake, VA, Larry Thomas Latimer and his wife, Sherry, of Kiptopeake and four granddaughters, Sophia, Savannah, Emma and Grace.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Christ Episcopal Church, 16304 Courthouse Rd, Eastville, VA with Reverend Daniel Crockett officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to N.S.D.A.R. Northampton County Chapter, c/o Claiborne Dickinson, P.O.
