Creston Eugene Parker, 88, husband of the late Catherine Jenkins Parker and a resident of Silver Beach, VA, passed away Friday, October 19, 2012, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Exmore, he was the son of the late I. H. Parker and the late Myrtle Shrieves Parker. Mr. Parker was retired owner of Ideal Cleaners and Parker Music Company, director and founder of the Aristocrats Band. For many years Mr. Parker was the Eastern Shore's only piano tuner. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Kathyanne Parker Runninger and her husband Bob of Onancock, VA and Kresty Parker Massey of Silver Beach; a brother, Kendall Parker and his wife Jean of Hampton, VA; a sister, June P. Miles of Exmore; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Parker was predeceased by a grandson, Andy Massey. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 24th at 2:00 PM at Bethel United Methodist Church in Jamesville with the Rev. Judith Worthington officiating. Interment will follow in the Franktown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
