Connie Duer Bonniwell

Connie Duer Bonniwell, 77, wife of Benjamin C. Bonniwell, Sr. and a resident of Belle Haven, VA passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 at her residence. A native of Belle Haven, she was the daughter of the late Calvin R. Duer and the late Mae Powell Duer. Mrs. Bonniwell was a member of the Belle Haven United Methodist Church, former teacher's aide and former postmistress for the Locustville Post Office. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Gayle Ashby, Benjie Bonniwell, Rodney Bonniwell and his wife, Brenda, Paula Atkinson and her husband, J.P., all of Belle Haven; a sister, June D. Charnock of Belle Haven; nine grandchildren, Parke Atkinson, Crystal Atkinson, R.J. Bonniwell, Hunter Bonniwell, Mandi Wessells and her husband, Bert, Andi Rice, Kate Bonniwell, Cole Bonniwell and his companion, Shelby, Andrew Ashby; four great grandchildren, Logan, Lucas, Benjamin, Harper and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn D. Maher. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 3:30 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Judith Worthington officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Belle Haven United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 37, Belle Haven, VA 23306.
