Mr. Cliff Thibodeaux, 79, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2005 at his home in Cape Charles, Virginia. Born September 15, 1925 in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, Mr. Thibodeaux was the son of the late John Colbert and Elrose Guidry Thibodeaux. A resident of Cape Charles for 49 years, Cliff was employed by Raymond International which brought him to the Eastern Shore in a joint venture with Tidewater Construction to help construct the original span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and an active member of the Cape Charles Rotary, which awarded him the Paul Harris Fellow for his many charitable deeds to the community... Mr. Thibodeaux is survived by his wife, Ida G. Thibodeaux; brothers Andrew Thibodeaux of Houston, Texas, Herman Thibodeaux of Bay Town, Texas, Daniel Thibodeaux of Houston, Texas, and Norman Thibodeaux of Melfa. He is also survived by his sisters Doris Comeaux of Highlands, Texas, Juanita Bush of Crosby, Texas, Joyce Armstrong of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and Linda Craven of Highlands, Texas. Mr. Thibodeaux was pre-deceased by a sister, Henrietta Gordon and three brothers, Lawrence Thibodeaux, Eugene Thibodeaux and Justin Thibodeaux. A Funeral Mass will be held from the St. Charles Catholic Church Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 11:00 AM with Father J. Michael Breslin officiating. Interment will follow in Cape Charles Cemetery. A Christian Wake Service will be held from St. Charles Catholic Church Monday evening at 7.
