Chester D. "Nelson" Robins, Jr.

Chester Downing Robins, Jr., better known as Nelson of Nassawadox, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Shore Life Care in Parksley. A native of Nassawadox, he was the son of the late Chester D. and Catherine Nelson Robins. Mr. Robins was retired from the Northampton County Public Schools maintenance department and Shore Memorial Hospital maintenance department. He was a member of the Red Bank Baptist Church and Broadwater Masonic Lodge 71. He is survived by two nieces, Cindy L. Emerick and her husband Richard of Leesville, South Carolina and Sue R. Brooks and her husband Sean of Easton, Maryland; one nephew, Tim Robins of Key West, Florida. He was predeceased by a brother, Willard S. Robins. Graveside services will be held Monday, January 18, 2010, at 1:00 PM at Red Bank Cemetery in Marionville with Rev. Elizabeth Freund officiating.
