Cherie Ann Ross

Mrs. Cherie Ann Ross, 80, wife of D.L. Ross and a resident of Eastville, passed away Friday, October 19, 2007 at Heritage Hall Health Care in Nassawadox. A native of Edinburg, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Truman H. and the late Mae Fadeley Coffman. Mrs. Ross graduated from Edinburg High School and Dunnsmore Business School. She worked for Bowman Apple Products for 10 years until she met D.L. They were married and moved to the Eastern Shore in 1953. She worked for the Selective Service for Northampton and Accomac County until the offices closed. She retired in 1989 from the Northampton County Department of Social Services. She was a member of Cheriton United Methodist Church for over 50 Years and was a 50 year member and Past Worthy Matron of Northampton Chapter #2 O.E.S. Other than her husband, she is survived by a sister, Dana Lee Miller of Cleveland, Oh.; a brother, Don T. Coffman of Edinburg, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 23rd at 2:00 PM from the Cheriton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nathan Decker officiating.
