Charles Russell Etheridge, Jr.

Mr. Charles Russell Etheridge, Jr.,81, better known as "Rusty" husband of the late Rosalie Tunstall Etheridge and a resident of Eastville, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008. A native of Eastville, he was the son of the late Charles Russell Etheridge, Sr. and the late Grace Alberta Bowden Etheridge. He was a member of Emanuel Episcopal Church, Cape Charles. Mr. Etheridge was a Marine Corp Veteran who served with the Office of Strategic Services after World War II and then worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for over 20 years as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. Locally, he worked in and operated a wholesale seafood business for many years. He is survived by three children, Mary Elizabeth Hall and her husband Michael of Culpeper, Va., Charles Russell Etheridge III and his wife Teresa of Parskley, Va., Kathleen Isabell Robinson and her husband Wesley of Fredericksburg, Va.; a sister, Nancy Moravek of Dustin, Fla., and a brother, Norman J. Etheridge of Colorado Springs, Co.; eight grandchildren, Rebecca, Charles IV, Kathryn Etheridge, Michael, Sarah, Walter Hall, Jason and Kimberly Robinson. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 3:00 PM from the Emanuel Episcopal Church in Cape Charles with the Rev. Patricia Kellam officiating. A private interment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the S.P.C.A. Animal Shelter, P.O.
