Chalmers B. "Butch" Horsley

Chalmers B. Horsley, better known as "Butch", 97, husband of Dorothy Payne Horsley and a resident of Onancock, VA, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Gloucester, VA, he was the son of the late Calvin B. Horsley and the late Bertha May Causey Horsley. He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard and the U. S. Postal Service. Mr. Horsley was a member of Naomi Makemie Presbyterian Church, the Onancock Lions Club, VFW Post #2296, and the Onancock Elks Lodge #1766. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Marie Horsley of Harlingen, Texas; a sister, Hildred Marrs of Williamsburg, VA; and a brother, James Horsley and his wife, Beatrice, of Hayes, VA.
