Cathie Fay Doughty Rhatigan, wife of James H. Rhatigan and a resident of Alexandria, VA passed away Tuesday August 11, 2009. A native Oyster, she is the daughter of Fay Reynolds Doughty of Eastville and the late Clifford W. Doughty. After she graduated from Northampton High School, she moved to Washington, DC and began a career in the legal field.
Other than her husband and mother, she is survived by a daughter, Tracey and her husband Chris; a son Eric; three grandchildren, McKenzie, Madeline, and Justin; two sisters, Claudia Restein and her husband Joe and Kelly Harrison and her husband EJ; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mrs. Rhatigan was predeceased by a son, Justin.
A funeral service was held Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the Fort Lincoln Funeral Home in Brentwood, MD with interment in the Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
