Carlton Moore Dunton, Jr.

Carlton Moore Dunton, Jr., 78, a resident of Birdsnest, Va, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 at his residence. A native of Birdsnest, he was the son of the late Carlton Moore Dunton, Sr. and the late Nettie Robins Dunton. He attended Birdsnest School, graduated from Northampton High School, attended a summer at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, graduated from Ferrum College with a degree in Agriculture, was a member of Future Farmers of America, worked as a farmer and custom applicator for Shore Fertilizer and was a member of Johnson's United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He was proud to be the father of the first triplets born on the Eastern Shore of Virginia in 1964. He is survived by three daughters, Carla D. Rouelle and her husband, Allen, of Franktown, VA, Terry D. Goswellen and her husband, Sammy, of Fredericksburg, VA, Tammy D. Reese of Painter, VA; seven grandchildren, Ryan Rouelle of Painter, Eric Rouelle of Franktown, Samantha Goswellen of Fredericksburg, Andrew Goswellen of Fredericksburg, Jon Killmon of Plant City, FL, Brittany Delosier and her fiancé, Greg Parks, of Silver Beach, VA, Bethany Delosier of Newport News, VA and one great granddaughter, Olivia Grace Parks. To honor his wishes funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Eastern Shore, 165 Market Street, Suite #3, Onancock, VA 23417.
