Carl James Jones Jr.

Mr. Carl James Jones, Jr., 79, husband of the late Doris Nock Jones for fifty years and a resident of Nassawadox, VA, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at his daughter's home in Midlothian, VA. A native of Nassawadox, he was the son of the late Mr. Carl James Jones, Sr. and the late Beulah Jones Jacobs. Mr. Jones was a retired Air Force Staff Sergeant; a lifetime member and past president of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Chapter 614 in Onley, VA; member and former deacon of Red Bank Baptist Church, Marionville, VA. He is survived by three children, a daughter, Barbara Lee Jones of Midlothian, a son, Robert James Jones and his wife, Barbara Sparrow Jones, of Exmore, VA, and a daughter, Pamela Jones Lilliston and her husband, Jeffery Lynn Lilliston, Sr., of Exmore; four grandchildren, Megan Renee Asal and her husband, Thomas James Asal, Robert Carl Jones, Jeffery Lynn, and Elizabeth Marie Lilliston; and one great-grandchild, Ryan James Asal. Graveside services with Military Honors will be conducted Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Red Bank Cemetery with Reverend Dr. John Robertson and Reverend Dr. William Nieporte officiating. Family will join friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30 at Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore.
