C. Lewis Belote Jr.

C. Lewis Belote Jr., 66, husband of the late Linda Barnes Belote and a resident of Exmore, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox. He was the son of the late Clinton Lewis Belote and the late Mary Hortense Miles Belote. He retired from C & P Telephone Company. He was a graduate of Randolph Macon Military Academy and attended Campbell College. He is survived by four children, Steven M. Belote and his wife Eve of Melfa, Va., Susan B. Tanner and her husband Craig of Onancock, Va., Traci T. Justice and her husband Ray of Exmore, Va., Richard L. Belote and his wife Sheila of Onancock; a sister, Ann B. Kellam and her husband Jackie of Accomack, Va.; eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Hayley, Brooke, Devon, Skylar, Braden, Jade, and Hayes. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with Pastor Joe McKnight officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the S.P.C.A.
