Brenda F. Etz

Brenda F. Etz, 56, wife of the late Danny K. Spady and a resident of Cape Charles, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008. A native of Cape Charles, she was the daughter of the late George E. Etz, Jr. and the late Alice C. Etz. She retired from the Cape Charles Medical Center as a medical assistant. She is survived by two daughters, Julie Mathews and her husband Bruce of Keller, Va., Allison Craven of Tangier, Va., a son, Benjamin Clayton of Eastville, Va., four grandchildren, Aaron and David Mathews of Keller, Va., Alexander and Zachary Craven of Tangier, Va., three sisters, Sue Canady of Portsmouth, Va., Arlene Hamilton of Virginia Beach, Va., Linda Wheatley of Tangier, Va. She was predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca Wheatley and a sister, Betty Ligon. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 PM from the Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home in Cape Charles with the Rev. Dr. Charles Peterson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cape Charles Rescue Service, P.O. Box 3009, Cheriton, Va. 23316.
