Bobby Lee Colonna, 77, husband of Betty Wilson Colonna and a resident of Painter, passed away Friday, February 20, 2009 at Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Hadlock, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Evelyn Johnson Colonna. Mr. Colonna was a retired owner of Colonna's Fire Extinguisher Sales and Service. He was past president and member of the Painter Volunteer Fire Company and a former member of the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department. Other than his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Linda Ann Harold and her husband Jeff of Dinwiddie, VA, Barbie Colonna and her fiancé Dave Engelhart of Onley, Patricia Colonna Morris and her husband Sammy of Onancock, and Cathy C. Johnson and her husband Johnny of Lee Mont; one brother, Hillary G. Colonna of Melfa; three grandchildren, Jamie L. Harold, D. Scott Harold, and Heather Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Emalee Harold, Tide Northan, and Ruby Harold. Mr. Colonna was predeceased by an infant son, two brothers, Frank C. and Burleigh Colonna, and a sister, Virginia Thornton. A Fireman's Service will be conducted Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 2:00 pm from the Doughty Funeral Home with the Reverends Robert L. Smoot and Thomas E. Durrance officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home Monday evening from 7 to 8:30.
