Bobby Bell

Robert Irving Bell, 89, better known as Bobby, husband of the late Mary Kathryn Jones Bell and the late Jean B. Ashby Bell and a resident of Belle Haven, VA, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Wilsonia Neck, VA, he was the son of the late Lloyd W. Bell and the late Rose Helen Gladden Bell. He was a retired meat manager of the Exmore A&P Store, former member of Broadwater Masonic Lodge #71 AF & AM, member of Belle Haven Presbyterian Church and lifetime member of Exmore Moose Lodge #683 where he held the highest degree of Pilgrim.

He is survived by eight children, Brenda B. Fogle and her husband, Greg, of Belle Haven, Diane B. Winfree and her husband, Jack, of Tuscaloosa, AL, Rebecca Lynn Bell Crockett of Virginia Beach, VA, Robin Bell Parks of Columbia, S.C., Karen Taylor of Parksley, VA, Mickey Ashby and his wife, Vickie, of Pocomoke City, MD, Marsha A. Killmon and her husband, Tim, of Wachapreague, VA, Chris Ashby and his wife, Debbie, of Belle Haven; 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be conducted Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverside Shore Hospice, P. O. Box 615, Onley, VA 23418 or Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
