Billy C. Wray

Billy C. Wray, 85, husband of Elaine Elliott Wray and a resident of Townsend, VA, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Leaksville, NC, he was the son of the late Cecil D. Wray and the late Alma Jones Wray. He was a United States Navy veteran and a retired waterman. In addition to his wife of 62 years, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah Wray Mountain and her husband, Dennis, of Townsend; two brothers, Downie Wray and his wife, Carolyn, of Pennsylvania, Del Wray and his wife, Laura, of Maryland; a sister, Diane Lombardo and her husband, Chuck, of Illinois; a granddaughter, Jenna Elaine Mountain of Townsend; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Sonny and Joe, and two sisters, Betty and Helen. A private family service will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Conrow officiating.
