Billy Lee Belote

Billy Lee Belote, 80, husband of Margaret Morris Belote and a resident of Quinby, VA , passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 in Pocomoke City, MD. A native of Upshurs Neck, VA he was the son of the late William Lee Belote and the late Marion Clark Belote. Mr. Belote was a retired waterman and mechanic. Other than his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Judy Hinman and her companion, John Powers, Jr., of Pocomoke City; one son, Danny Belote and his wife, Donna, of Cheltenham, PA; four stepchildren, Luther "Chubby" Mears and his wife, Libby, of Birdsnest, VA, David Mears of Orlando, FL, Linda Lee Hall of Princess Anne, MD, Margaret Ann Mears of Titusville, FL; one brother, Richard Belote and his wife, Mary, of Onancock, VA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, Billy "Moody" Belote and John Thomas Belote. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with Reverend Jack Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Wachapreague Cemetery. Family will join friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Coastal Hospice, Inc., P.O.
