William A. Taylor, better known as Bill, 78, husband of Rose Ellen Savage Taylor and a resident of Jamesville, VA, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at his residence. A native of Exmore, VA, he was the son of the late Allie Pearson Taylor and the late Mollie Powell Taylor Killmon. He was employed for 30 years at A&P Grocery Store, a retired school bus driver for Northampton County Public Schools and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where he served as Lay Leader for 43 years.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son, William Christopher Taylor of Accomac, VA; a daughter, Ellen Dale Taylor of Virginia Beach, VA; two sisters, Jean Taylor of Mappsville, VA, Pauline Byrd of Lakeland, FL and a brother, Joe Taylor and his wife, Patty, of Exmore.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Bethel United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Oh officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. Bettie Nuckols, P. O. Box 224, Jamesville, VA 23398 or to a charity of one's choice .
