Betty Rose Lewis, 82, wife of Frank Lewis and a resident of Cheriton, VA, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024, at her residence. A native of the Eastern Shore, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Edward Ewell and the late Josephine Ward Ewell. She was the co-owner of Ewell’s Furniture and Appliance for 36 years, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, attended Community Church of God, had a strong Christian Faith, was a prayer warrior, loved flowers and her Harley Motorcycle, was a member of  Women’s Club of Cape Charles and Harley Owner’s Group.

In addition to her loving husband of 60 years, she is survived by three sons, Troy Lewis (Lisa) of Oyster, VA, Vance Lewis (Jo Ann) of Cheriton, and Bryan Lewis of Hutto, TX; a sister, Linda Brady of Wardtown, VA; six grandchildren, Kristin Lewis(Jake Golibart), Justin Kertesz(Gwen Withers), Samantha Lewis, Zachary Lewis, Kennedy Lewis, and Sophie Lewis; and three great grandchildren, Reid Kertesz, Isla Kertesz, and Brielle Brown.

Due to the weather,  services will be conducted at Wilkens-Doughty Funeral Home at 119 Pine Street, Cape Charles, Virginia,  Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00AM  with Reverends Tommy Kellam and Ernie Lauer officiating. Internment will be private in Cape Charles Cemetery.
