Betty Louise Brittingham, 69, a resident of Ashland, VA, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012, in Painter, VA. A native of Smithfield, VA, she was the daughter of the late Seth and Edna Lankford. She retired from Ukrops Grocery and was a member of Living Word Assembly Church in Ashland. She is survived by four children, Jackie Taylor and her husband, Curtis, of Melfa, VA, Donnie Brittingham and his wife, Maryann, of Marionville, VA, Albert J. "Jimmy" Brittingham, III of Belle Haven, VA, and Teresa Kellam and her husband, Richie, of Painter; a brother, Albert Curtis Lankford and his wife, Carolyn, of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Dorothy Jarrett and her husband, Charles, of Hampton, VA; six grandchildren, Beth Thornes, Brian Brittingham, Steven Taylor, Kimberly Brittingham, Katelynn Kellam, and Billy Kellam; three great-grandchildren; and a feline companion, Sam. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 21, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Whitehead's Grove Baptist Church, 18366 Benns Church Blvd., Smithfield, VA with Rev. Mike Guthrie officiating.
