Betty Jean Bew

Betty Jean Stevens Bew, 52, of Newport, North Carolina, formerly of Exmore, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City, NC. A native of Exmore, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Stevens and the late Evelyn Lewis Thornes. Survivors include, her companion Larry Best of Newport, NC; two children, Sharon Baynum and Charles Warren, Jr., both of Felton, DE; a sister, Tina Brittingham and her husband Billy of Exmore; a brother, Ernest Stevens, Jr. "Stevie" of Newport, NC, her step mother, Agatha Stevens of Newport, NC and a niece, Courtney Brittingham, also of Exmore. A service of Remembrance will be held Saturday January 23, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, with Pastor Eric Levesque officiating.
