Beth Ann Smith

Beth Ann Smith, 45, wife of Chad A. Smith and a resident of Jamesville, VA, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at her residence. A native of Grove City, PA, she was the daughter of Louise Buchanan Campbell and her husband, John, of Grove City and the late Earl Buchanan. She was a graduate of Slippery Rock University and Pre-K teacher at Occohannock Elementary School.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by, two brothers, David Buchanan and his wife, Wendy, of Brookville, PA, Doug Buchanan and his wife, Debbie, of Grove City; her father-in-law, Cecil Smith and his wife, Jackie, of Jamesville; her mother-in-law, Debbie Jenkins and her husband, Fred, of LaGrange, GA; a sister-in-law, Kerri Atkinson; a brother-in-law, Shane Smith; four nieces, Erin, Abby, Peyton, Emma; and two nephews, Benjamin and Derek.
A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverend Judith Worthington officiating. Family will join friends at Doughty Funeral Home Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, 870 Greenbrier Circle, Tower II, Suite #404, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
