Bertha Moore

Bertha Groce Moore, 89, wife of the late Charles W. Moore, better known as Nook, and a resident of Oyster, VA, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital in Norfolk, VA. A native of Drill, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charley Groce and Bessie Haywood Groce. She attended Full Gospel Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Loretta Conrow of Cheriton, VA, Diana Munari and her husband, Harry, of Virginia Beach, VA, Brenda Carpenter and her husband, Robert, of Cherrystone, VA; nine grandchildren, Jimmy Conrow, Jeff Conrow, Alan Bunnell, Nevin Bunnell, Angie Munari, Jennifer Young, Robert Carpenter, Jr., Beth Lu, Lynn Durham and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, John Conrow. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Lower Northampton Baptist Church with Reverends Jeff Conrow and Randy E. Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Cape Charles Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
