Bernice Cutler Simpson
December 25, 1922 — February 3, 2016
Bernice Cutler Simpson, 93, wife of the late James Victor Simpson and a resident of Willis Wharf, VA, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at her residence. A native of Belle Haven, VA, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Cecil Cutler and the late Stella Lee Byrd Cutler. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Darlene S. Martin of Townsend, DE, Barbara Simpson of Chester, VA, Kelly S. Lewis and her husband, Rodney, of Meherrin, VA; a son, Victor L. Simpson and his wife, Geraline, of Willis Wharf; two sisters, Fannie Miles of Salisbury, MD, Jane Doughty of Quinby, VA; two half-sisters, Kay Moore of Exmore, VA, Nancy Morris of Pennsylvania, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday, February 5, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverend Mary Jimenez officiating. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
