Ben Davis Eichelberger, Jr., 74, husband of the late Allie Gray Keen Eichelberger and a resident of Quinby, VA, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2012 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Quinby, he was the son of the late Ben Davis Eichelberger and the late Margaret Floyd Eichelberger. He was a retired school teacher and the author of One Solved Algebra One Word Problem (Copyright 2007). He was a member of Smith's Chapel United Methodist Church. He is survived by two children, Sarah Tankersley of Florence, KY and Preston Eichelberger and his wife, Carol, of Free Union, VA; one brother, Pierce Eichelberger of Quinby; one sister Peggy E. Riley, also of Quinby; four grandchildren, Elizabeth and Rachel Tankersley, and Allie and Lane Eichelberger; and his special friend, Letitia Ward. Other than his wife and parents, he was predeceased by two sons, Ben Davis Eichelberger, III and Nelson Floyd Eichelberger. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Smith's Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Rebecca McGee officiating.
