Robert T. Linton, better known as “Beans”, 88, companion of Nancy Kara and a resident of Birdsnest, VA, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022, at his residence. Formerly of Cape Charles, VA, he was the son of the late Walter B. Linton and the late Ethel Long Linton. Beans retired from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA). He was a United States Army Veteran, and was a member of American Legion Post 56, Cheriton Volunteer Fire Department and attended Cape Charles Baptist Church.
He is also survived by his stepchildren, John Wayne Lewis, of Cape Charles, Timmy Lewis and his wife, Ann, of Birdsnest and Shelby Parker and her husband, Bud, of Townsend, VA; a sister, Sharon L. Kondra of Tacoma, WA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Walter Lee Linton; and three sisters, Elsie Cutler, Lucille Linton, and Marion Cruz.
A graveside service with Fireman’s Honors will be held, Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Cape Charles Cemetery with Mr. Barry Downing officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA Eastern Shore, Inc., Post Office Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
