Arnold Barry Dalinsky, 72, died Wednesday morning, November 18, 2015, at his home in Cape Charles, VA after a long debilitating illness. Barry, as he was affectionately called, was born on March 30, 1943 in Washington, DC, where he grew up and attended Georgetown University. He retired from the Department of Energy in 2005. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry "Doc" Dalinsky and Marion Tenn Dalinsky, both life-long residents of Washington, DC.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Nancy Dalinsky (Vargas); his two daughters, Lara Dalinsky and her husband, Chris Brady, of Seoul, Korea, Maya Dalinsky and her husband, Peter Cserba, of Brussels, Belgium; his only grandchild, David Dalinsky Cserba of Brussels; his sister, Karen Wise of McLean, VA; several aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and numerous friends.
He will be missed greatly as a faithful, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, loyal friend, formidable scrabble player and for his generosity, his quick wit and droll sense of humor, a trait he never lost even in the face of adversity.
A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM at King David Memorial Gardens, 2738 Hollywood Road, Falls Church, VA 22042, telephone (703) 560-4400, with Jonathan Kosarin officiating.
