Audrey Belote

Audrey Louise Mapp Belote, 78, wife of the late Shirley M. Belote and a resident of Quinby, VA, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Riverside Shore Rehabilitation Center in Parksley, VA. A native of Wardtown, VA, she was the daughter of the late Richard Benjamin Mapp, Jr. and the late Alice Hopkins Mapp. She was a former cafeteria worker for Accomack County Public Schools and retired from Gregg Harriet Shirt Factory. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou Tyndall and her husband, Paul, of Wattsville, VA, Cheryl Ann Fox and her husband, Dale, of Chincoteague, VA; a brother, Richard Benjamin Mapp III of Quinby; five grandchildren, Michelle Lee Tyndall, Rebecca Starr Tyndall-Donellan, Richard Andrew Fox, Crystal Ann Bentley, Shelly Lynn Fox; seven great grandchildren, Kristel Jazlyn Tyndall, Trinity Chiara-Marie Donellan, Eric William Dean Fox, Landon Joseph Fuller, Wesley Owen Bentley, Preston Hunter Bentley and Colten Alexander Bentley. She was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth "Libby" Mapp Tarr and Alice Maude Tarr. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Wachapreague Cemetery with Reverend Jack D. Pruitt officiating. Family will join friends at Doughty Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30.
