Annette Custis Widgeon, 95, wife of the late David J. Widgeon, Sr. and a resident of Painter, VA, passed away Sunday, February 04, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA. A native of Craddockville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. Custis and the late Elizabeth Nottingham Custis. She was retired from J. Edward Bundick Department Store and a member of Painter-Garrison's United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia W. Sturgis and her husband, Jimmy, of Painter, and Connie W. Campbell and her husband, William, of Painter; four grandchildren, Jennifer S. Dauzier and her husband, Marc, of Midlothian, VA, David J. Widgeon, III and his wife, Angela, of Christiansburg, VA, Matthew Widgeon of Roanoke, VA, and Amy C. Budd and her husband, Chris, of Painter; four great grandchildren, Ben and Evelyn Widgeon and Blake and Brooke Budd; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, David J. Widgeon, Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Jane Johnson Widgeon; and three sisters, Irma C. Dix, Pamela C. Brockwell and Elizabeth C. Campbell.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Quinby Cemetery with Reverend Curtis P. Lucy officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Painter-Garrison's United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 502, Painter, Virginia 23420.
