Mrs. Annette Lawson Henderson, 70, wife of the late Robert L. Henderson, Sr., passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008 at her residence in Painter. A native of Quinby, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Lawson, Sr. and the late Nettie Marshall Lawson. She was a retired beautician and a hospice volunteer. She was an active and devoted member of Painter-Garrisons United Methodist Church where she served as President of the United Methodist Women, Past Organist and Past Chairman of the Board. She is survived by three children, John Mapp Henderson and his wife Nancy of Painter, Va., Robert Lee Henderson, Jr. and his wife Connie of Oyster, Va., Lisa H. Drummond and her fiancé Bryan of Painter; a brother William Kenneth Lawson and his wife Carolyn of Quinby, Va.; a sister-in-law, Florence M. Lawson of Willis Wharf, Va.; two grandchildren, Susan McAllister Kilmon and her husband Donnie of Painter, Walter Nock Drummond, III and his fiancée Brittany of Painter; and one niece and two nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert L. Lawson, Jr. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Painter-Garrisons United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Durrance and the Rev. Michael Harrington officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore Monday evening from 7 to 8:30.
