Anna Ruth Heath

Anna Ruth Heath, 92, wife of the late William A. Heath, Sr. and a resident of Townsend, VA, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Birdsnest, VA, she was the daughter of the late Herman Richardson and the late Myrtis Gladden Richardson. She was a member of Cape Charles Baptist where she served as organist for over 40 years.
She is survived by two children, William A. Heath, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia, of Townsend, Jo Anne Heath Vass and her husband, Stephen, of Saltworks, VA; six grandchildren, Keron Orsinger and her husband, Chuck, of Cheriton, VA, William A. Heath III and his wife, Amanda, of Townsend, Virginia Downing and her husband, Barron, of Arlington, VA, Roger W. Martin, Jr. of Townsend, Amanda Heath of Townsend, Melissa Heath of Townsend; and eight great grandchildren, Taylor Heath, William Heath IV, Brayden Downing, Landon Heath, Isabella Jordan, D.J. Jordan, Ashton Downing and Jaxx Orsinger.
A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Capeville Masonic Cemetery with Reverends William H. Haley and Russell Goodrich officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cheriton Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 41, Cheriton, Virginia 23316.
