Ann Warren Smith, 82, a resident of Nassawadox, VA, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox. A native of Quinby, VA, she was the daughter of the late James M. Warren and the late Ethel Powers Warren Peppler. She was a retired Operating Room Nurse at N.A.M. Hospital, and longtime member of Exmore Baptist Church and Maranatha Baptist Church. She is survived by four children, Warren Smith of Harborton, VA, David Smith and his wife, Ethel, of Bellevue, NE, Kim S. Riggins and her husband, Dale, of Richmond, VA, Joe McKnight and his wife, Kelly, of Harborton; a brother, Jimmy Warren and his wife, Sandra, of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Sue Matthews and her husband, Tommy, of Hebron, MD; eight grandchildren, Michael Smith, Andrew Smith, Betsy Boyer, Carol Riggins, Paul Sterling, Elizabeth Olsen, Emily McKnight, Holly McKnight; and numerous great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Rita Sterling. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Hollies Baptist Church with Reverends Joe McKnight and Russell Goodrich officiating. Interment will follow in Hollies Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will join friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
