Exmore, VA 23350
Setsuko Ogawa Mapp, better known as Ann, 89, wife of the late John Woodson Mapp and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. She was born in Japan, but became an American citizen and embraced the United States as her home. Mrs. Mapp was a World War II survivor, member of V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Vietnam Veterans of America Associates and Maranatha Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children, Lillian A. Vaughn of Exmore, William A. Mapp of Exmore, Maudlin Naomi "Mimi" Kiser of Goldsboro, NC and five grandchildren, Naomi Lynn Ramsaroop of Columbia, SC, Ena Reneé Torres of Orlando, FL, Setsuko Elaine Torres of Orlando, Kyle Douglas Mapp of Richmond, VA and Christopher Mapp of Exmore.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Maranatha Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Muender officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maranatha Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1423, Exmore, VA 23350.
