Andrew (Andy) G. Spohn, 61, husband of Lois Lynne (Borland) and a resident of Belle Haven, Virginia and Montville, New Jersey, passed away at his home in Belle Haven on July 1, 2005. He was the son of the late W. Lee Spohn and is survived by his mother Lois Fink Spohn of Fredonia, Kansas and mother-in-law, Oral Rich Borland of Altoona, Kansas. Andy served as past president of Singer Asset Finance Company. Prior to that, he was a managing partner of New Jersey Title Insurance Company -- the oldest title insurance company in New Jersey. A native of Kansas, Andy graduated from Washburn University and also received an MBA from Harvard University in 1970. He was a member of the Harvard Club of New York, the Exmore Moose Lodge #683 and the Eastern Shore Yacht & Country Club. Andy co-authored the book "Organizational Diagnosis" with famed psychologist Harry Levinson. His professional career also led him to senior level positions at Genesco, Chase Bank, Chemical Bank, and Lee Hecht Harrison. Andy was a loving father to Phillip Borland Spohn and his wife Meg of Denver, Co. and Kristen Leigh Runk and her husband Brian of Lawrence, Ks., and a devoted husband to Lois. Other survivors include a brother, Dwane Spohn and his wife Janice of Sanibel Island, Fla. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Marvin Spohn. The Spohn's lived in Summit, NJ for almost 30 years where Andy was president of the Zoning Board, co-anchor for the Summit News Show and president of Communities on Cable. He also enjoyed writing and directing the Brayton Dessert Show. He loved boating and fishing on the Chesapeake. He will be remembered as a tall, affable, humorous, and very smart man who had a passion for the arts,gardening, and who loved his family, dogs, and his friends. A memorial service will be held in Summitt,New Jersey at Central Presbyterian Church, July 22, at 11:00 AM. Friends are invited to join family on Sunday, July 10, 2005 from 4 to 6 PM at his home in Belle Haven.
