Alwood Lee Shreaves, Sr.

Mr. Alwood L. Shreaves, Sr. 82, husband of Grace Bloxom Shreaves and a resident of Exmore, passed away Monday May 15, 2006 at his residence. A native of Parksley, Virginia, he was the son of the late William Shreaves and the late Mary Frisco Shreaves. He was retired from Dulany Foods, an United States Navy Veteran, a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, a charter member for the Exmore Volunteer Fire Company, the V.F.W., and Exmore Moose Lodge #683. Other than his wife, he is survived by a son: Alwood L. Shreaves, Jr. of Exmore, Va.; two brothers, Sherwood Shreaves and his wife Mary of Melfa, Va., Edward Shreaves and his wife Carmen of Glendale, Calif., several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Vesta Shreaves, Georgia Shreaves, Neta Shreaves; and two brothers, Otto Shreaves, Sr., Preston Shreaves. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday May 17, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the graveside of Belle Haven Cemetery with Military Honors. The Rev. Tammy Estep & the Rev. Greg Shreaves will officiate.
