Allan Joseph "Bud" Lyon

Allan Joseph "Bud" Lyon, 102, husband of the late Florence White Lyon and a resident of Townsend and Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Virginia Beach Healthcare & Rehab. A native of West Caldwell, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Joseph A. Lyon and the late Harriet Doremus Lyon. Mr. Lyon was a retired building contractor, a U.S. Army veteran who proudly served his country during WWII, a volunteer fireman for the Essex Fells Fire Department for thirty years, and a faithful member of the Capeville United Methodist Church. Left to cherish Bud's memory is his son, Allan W. Lyon and his wife, Martha; two grandchildren, Christopher Lyon and his wife, Stephanie, and Katie Lyon Chadwick and her husband, Bill; and a great-granddaughter, Holly Mae Lyon, all of Virginia Beach. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Capeville United Methodist Church with the Reverend Elizabeth A. Lutz officiating.
