Alice Bossé Riggin

Alice Bossé Riggin, 87, of Townsend, Virginia, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 at her residence. A native of Capeville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William G. Gibbs and the late Jessie Lewis Gibbs. Mrs. Riggin was retired from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and a member of Lower Northampton Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Anne Dean and her husband Michael of Ocala, FL, and Linda Mears of Cape Charles, VA; three grandchildren, Melanie Belote, Danielle Steers, and Christopher Dean; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Riggin was predeceased by a son, Joseph Robert Bossé, and two brothers, Louis Gilmer Gibbs and Robert Custis Gibbs. A graveside service will be conducted Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Capeville Masonic Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Conrow officiating.
