Albert J. Koury Jr.

Albert Joseph Koury Jr., a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2009. He was the devoted husband of Eleanor Frances (O'Neill) Koury for 53 years. Mr. Koury was born in Woonsocket, R.I., the son of the late Abdullah Koury and Jamela (Lataash) Koury. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Other than his wife, Mr. Koury is survived by his sister-in-law, Betty Webb and her husband Dick of Machipongo, VA, a sister, Lillian (Koury) Salome of Woonsocket, a brother, William Koury of Framingham, MA, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Michael Koury, Wilfred Koury, George Koury, Freda (Koury) Anagnostos, and Emily (Koury) Perrico. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, October 12, 2009, at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church with Father J. Michael Breslin officiating. Interment will follow in Johnson's Church Cemetery in Johnsontown, VA. Family will join friends Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore.
