Albert J. Brittingham, Jr., 74, a resident of Belle Haven, VA, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. He was a native of Machipongo, VA and was the son of the late Albert J. Brittingham, Sr. and the late Sally Francis Webb Brittingham. He was a self-employed mechanic, a former firefighter with Community Fire Company of Exmore, member of Johnsons United Methodist Church, and loved to hunt, fish and work in his garden. Albert is survived by his wife, Mary K. Brittingham of Belle Haven; four children, Jackie Taylor and her husband, Curtis, of Melfa, Donnie Brittingham and his wife, Maryann, of Marionville, Albert J. "Jimmy" Brittingham III of Belle Haven, Teresa Kellam and her husband, Richie, of Painter; three step-children, Mary Jenkins and her husband, Jimmy, of Onancock, Tammy Fate, and Jan LaBreck and his wife, Danielle, all of Belle Haven; two sisters, Francis Bailey and Patsy Lilliston and her husband Cleve, all of Exmore; two brothers, Billy Brittingham and his wife, Tina, of Exmore and Bobby Brittingham of Birdsnest; 9 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Sandy and Rusty. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011, at 3:30 PM at Johnsons United Methodist Church in Johnsontown with the Rev. Clarence Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A reception will follow the interment at the church social hall. Memorial contributions may be made to the S.P.C.A. Animal Shelter, P. O.
