ADCS U.S.N. Ret. Ashley Lee Lamm, 76, husband of Evelyn L. Lamm and a resident of Craddockville, VA, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Wilson County, NC, he was the son of the late Walter Lee Lamm and the late Ella Mae Turnage Lamm. Mr. Lamm retired from the U.S. Navy and was an aircraft inspector and farmer. He was a member of Craddockville United Methodist Church and served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He was also a member of Capeville Masonic Lodge #107, past Governor and member of Exmore Moose Lodge #683, Eastern Shore Royal Arch Chapter #2, Khedive Temple Shrine, and the Pungoteague Ruritan Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Michael L. Lamm of Nesbit, MS, Jaye Dee Iiams of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Gloria Lamm of Lucama, NC; four grandchildren, Sarah Beth Lamm, Wilson Lee Lamm, Bridgette Irk, Ethan Iiams; two great-grandchildren, Evalyn Lamm and Madison Irk; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 19, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Craddockville United Methodist Church with Rev. Rob Kelly officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
