Andrew Morris Lewis, Sr., 99, husband of the late Wilsye Hamilton Lewis and a resident of Cheriton, VA, passed away Tuesday morning at his residence. A native of Highlands, NC, he was the son of the late Rev. Andrew Numa Lewis and Mary Rice Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a retired yardmaster for the Pennsylvania Railroad and a representative of Hogshire Tent and Awning Company for many years. He was a member of the Cheriton United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Randolph-Macon Academy Class of 1929. He is survived by two children, Anne L. Kellam of Cheriton and Dr. Andrew Morris Lewis, Jr. & his wife Gladys of Leesburg, VA, four grandchildren, Reid Lewis, Andrew Lewis, Neal Kellam and Micah Kellam and four great grandchildren, Alexander Lewis, Spencer Lewis, Natalie Lewis and Tyler Lewis. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the graveside at Cape Charles Cemetery with the Rev. Nathan Decker and the Rev. Dr. Charles Peterson officiating.
