Lois Mae Potts

Lois Mae Potts, 86, wife of the late William R. Potts, Sr. and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Meryle Uffelman and the late Martha Allen Uffelman. She was retired from Northampton-Accomack Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by six children, William R. Potts, Jr. and his wife, Gail, of Salisbury, MD, Thomas E. Potts, Sr. and his wife, Joan, of Exmore, Linda Lee Valentine and her husband, Bill, of Accomac, VA, David A. Potts and his wife, Sharon, of Chesapeake, VA, Lisa P. Murray and her husband, Steve, of La Plata, MD, Lori P. Blackmon and her husband, Ben, of Indianapolis, IN; two brothers, Bruce Uffelman and his wife, Janice, of Rehobeth, DE, Robert Uffelman of Wilmington; one sister, Shirley Synczyszyn of Newark, DE; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Tammy Estep officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Onancock, VA. Family will join friends at Doughty Funeral Home Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:30. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
