Julie Sandra Kubernac, 70, wife of Ronald Kubernac for 41 years and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at her residence. A native of Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Farrar and the late Yvette Charron Farrar. She was an active member of Hollies Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir and a Sunday School Teacher. She was also an active volunteer with the American Red Cross.

Along with her husband, she is survived by three sons, Keith Conkle and his wife, Tamara, of Salisbury, MD, Steve Conkle and his wife, Rosette, of Carlisle, PA, and James Conkle and his wife, Mary Ann, of West Grove, PA; two stepsons, Michael and Kenneth Kubernac of Florida; one sister, Helen Puleo of Long Island, NY; one brother, Edward Joubert and his wife, Connie, of Sebring, FL; seven grandchildren, Robert, Ryan, Lauren, Emily, Brooke, Gregory, and Joseph; and two devoted friends, Barbara and Brenda.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2012, at 1:00 PM at Hollies Baptist Church with Pastor Joe McKnight officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hollies Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Judi Renwick, P.O. Box 7, Keller, VA 23401.
