Mark Lewis Hopkins

Mark Lewis Hopkins, 58, husband of Jody Smith Hopkins and a resident of Keller, VA, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Exmore, VA, he was the son of Anne Lewis Nuttall and her husband, Marvin, of Melfa, VA, and the late Joseph Lee Hopkins, Sr. A U. S. Army veteran and graduate of Virginia Tech, he was a nursery manager for Eastern Shore Nursery of Virginia, a lifetime member of Melfa United Methodist Church, and member of the Eastern Shore of Virginia Nurseryman’s Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Adam Hopkins of Chincoteague, VA, and Matthew Hopkins of Elizabeth City, NC; two brothers, Joseph L. Hopkins and his wife, Pat, of Accomac, VA, Keith G. Hopkins and his wife, Gretchen, of Virginia Beach, VA; two grandchildren, Jacob and Madeline Hopkins of Elizabeth, NC. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sarah G. Hopkins.

A Service of Remembrance will be held Monday, June 4, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with the Rev. Charles Parks officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverside Shore Cancer Center, P. O. Box 17, Nassawadox, VA 23413.
