Thomas Walt Joynes

Thomas W. Joynes, 57, and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at his residence. He was a native of Belle Haven, VA, and the son of the late Robert E. Joynes and the late Evelyn Huether Joynes. He was a retired house painter and former musician, having played with Full Sail and several other local bands.

He is survived by one sister, Charlene J. Long and husband, Somers Long of Willis Wharf, VA; one brother, Keith E. Joynes of Gargatha, VA; three devoted friends, Billy Carpenter, Debbie Doughty and Matt Fincen; one niece, Elizabeth L. Gagnon; two nephews, Joshua Long, Brian Joynes; six great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Bobby Joynes and Henry Joynes.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 2 PM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Mr. Kemmie Dize officiating. Memorials contributions may be made to Riverside Shore Cancer Center, P.O. Box 17, Nassawadox, VA 23413.
